Peabody Treatment Progress Battery (PTPB)

The Peabody Treatment Progress Battery

The Peabody Treatment Progress Battery (PTPB) is a cohesive, comprehensive, and evidence-based set of tools designed to improve mental health services for youths aged 11–18 years. This battery includes eleven clinically relevant measures that assess key mental health outcomes and clinical processes. When administered repeatedly, these measures provide clinicians with systematic feedback on individual clients and their progress relative to others, offering valuable insights for treatment planning—especially for those not improving as expected. With its brief, reliable, and valid instruments, the PTPB enables efficient, low-cost implementation.

The PTPB is a core component of the Contextualized Feedback Systems® (CFS™), developed by the Center for Evaluation and Program Improvement (CEPI) at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College (Bickman, Riemer, Breda, & Kelley, 2006). CFS™ includes web-based training, data collection, and reporting functions to support integrated feedback in clinical practice.
